A&M draws 1st blood, then crushed

Central A&M battled undefeated Maroa-Forsyth this past Friday night on the Trojans senior night and failed to put up any kind of fighting effort, taking the loss 54-13.

Junior Jack Hockaday led the Trojans with four touchdowns, completing on five passes on 10 attempts for 212 yards.

Unlike previous games, the Raiders, who are now 1-6, started the game well, not allowing a point in the first quarter and were able to grab the lead early.

Zach Ballinger scored the first touchdown of the game with a two yard run, but after that the Raiders failed to score until the fourth quarter.

Hockaday threw a 69 yard touchdown pass, a 74 yard touchdown pass and a 42 yard touchdown pass in his 5 completed passes. He added an 18 yard touchdown pass, as well.

With the lead in tact, the Trojans ran the ball heavily in the second half. Drew Fredericksen ran for a 32 yard touchdown and backup quarterback Josh Ratts rushed for a 39 yard touchdown, as well.

The only other score for CAM was a 59 yard touchdown pass to Jason Pokalsey from Miles Neilson.

The Raiders go into the final week of the regular season eliminated from the playoffs and are still looking to get that first win at home.

The Raiders take on rival 1-6 Meridian next Friday in their finale. The game is at 7 p.m. in Moweaqua.
