SHELBYVILLE, IL. — Shelbyville girls basketball went up against a prolific scorer at Argenta and they couldn’t stop her or the impending loss. Kandie Bloch scored 33 points and Argenta won 69-41.

Shelby played fairly well offensively through three quarters, scoring in double figures each period. However, they were still down 17 points heading into the 4th. The effort wasn’t sustained in the final frame and AO sped away with a late 15-6 run for the 28-point win.

AO was up 16-11 at the end of the 1st. Shelby scored 11 points in the 2nd, but it was on the short side of a 19-11 Bomber run. AO was up 13 at the break, 35-22. Shelby scored 15 points in the 3rd, but still couldn’t stop the Bombers.

Bloch scored 15 times from the field and was 3-of-4 at the line. She was followed by Mullins with 14 points, including a quartet of 3-pointers.

Lindsay Burton led Shelbyville with 19 points, including a triple, scoring seven times from the floor, half of Bloch’s number. Courtney Schultz followed with eight points, including 2-of-3 at the line, but no trey.
