Wooden Shoe JV Steps All Over Okaw Valley JV

SHELBYVILLE, IL. — Okaw Valley JV was paired with Teutopolis JV in the Okaw Valley Holiday Tournament on Saturday and the Shoes stepped all over the Okaw T’Wolves, 45-15.

The Shoes kicked off the game with a 17-3 run, more than enough to outscore Okaw for the whole game. T’town followed with a 12-2 run in the 2nd period to lead by 24 at the break, 29-5.

The Shoes called off the dogs in the 2nd half and coasted to a 30-point win, not allowing Okaw to score in double figures in any of the four quarters.

  • SOV Beats CAM at Home

    Sullivan-Okaw Valley track usually challenges Central A&M girls and boys, but on Tuesday they beat them in Sullivan. SOV boys won (100), Central A&M was 2nd (49) and Warrensburg 3rd (30). SOV girls won (73) and CAM was 2nd (62).
