Pana man sentenced in April stabbing death

A Pana man is sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to Second Degree Murder for a stabbing death in April.

Travis Gregg was charged following the stabbing of James Bertin, 29, of Pana, at a bonfire party on April 13. Bertin died a short time later at Pana Community Hospital.

Dylan Carroll, 18, Lee Coke, 39, and Victor Pickel, 37, were charged with multiple counts of mob action. Allegedly the four men approached the gathering and a fight ensued, resulting in Bertin being stabbed.

Carroll and Coke entered guilty pleas in Christian County Court on September 30 and were both sentenced to three years in prison. Pickel is scheduled for a pre-trial hearing on November 12
