81 graduate from SHS Saturday

Eighty-one seniors graduated from Shelbyville High School Saturday evening before family and friends.

Before the pronouncement of graduation, students were recognized in a variety of honors.

Recognizing those entering the military were: Bailey Ambrose, Illinois Army National Guard; Brittney Brown, U.S. Air Force; Jacob Moore, U.S. Marine Corps; Cwenton Williams, U.S. Marine Corps; Matthew White, Navy ROTX/U.S. Marine Corps.

The Top 10 students include: Hannah Apple, Julia Bolinger, Kayla Brachbill, Brooke Cieplik, Jensen Cloe, Lindsey Eigsti, Josh Foster, Monica Griesemer, Megan Knearem, Rachel West, Rebecca Wheeler, and Richard Zientara.

Students of the Month were: Hannah Apple, Julia Bolinger, Brooke Cieplik, Jensen Cloe, Lindsey Eigsti, Monica Griesemer, Kaitlin Hopper, Chase Jackson, and Rebecca Wheeler. Student of the Year is Hannah Apple

Salutatorian Monica Griesemer and Valedictorian Rebecca Wheeler share the address to the class relating growing up through songs and wishing fellow classmates the best for the future.
