Moulton Trick or Treat Food Drive Friday

SHELBYVILLE, IL. — Moulton students will be trick or treating early not to collect candy,  but to collect canned food donations.

The school student council is sponsoring the drive Friday, October 26, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. The collected food will be given to the First United Methodist Church and the CEFS food pantries.

“This is a great community service project for the kids,” said student council sponsor Ryan Scott. “We have 178 students signed up to do this. The will go out in teams of four or five to cover the town.”

Scott added that the students will be wearing special t-shirts or Moulton t-shirts to identify them for the project.

If you will not be home during the collection time but would like to donate, please leave items by the front door.
