Shelby Christian Church will launch a 12 week sermon series Sunday, March 29.

This series is designed to help you learn how the history of the early church applies to your life and your faith today. This series will begin a week before the premier of a new and exciting TV series AD. From executive producers Roma Downey (”The Bible”) and Mark Burnett (”The Bible,” “The Voice”) comes an uplifting spiritual journey through the later chapters of biblical history. “A.D. The Bible Continues” picks up where the smash hit miniseries “The Bible” left off, continuing the greatest story ever told and exploring the exciting and inspiring events that followed the Crucifixion of Christ. AD will premier Easter Sunday, April 5, on NBC and will run for twelve consecutive Sundays. Millions of people will be watching. “

Pastor and bestselling author Max Lucado, writes “A.D. shows us how a deep faith results in raw courage. The key players in this story--the earliest Christians, stunned by the brutal execution of Jesus, were pathfinders for today’s believers. Their compelling story gives hope for the modern-day faithful, who face brutality and persecution simply for believing... even today.” The sermon series and the TV series will cover the first 10 chapters of the book of Acts.

Shelby Christian Church is located at 200 North Hickory Street (just north of the Dairy Queen).
