Des Moines Area Community College

Des Moines Area Community College President Rob Denson recently released the names of students eligible for the Fall Semester President’s List. To be eligible, a student must have completed a minimum of 6 credits and earned a 4.0 grade point average for that semester. Neil Yockey, of Shelbyville, who is studying Funeral Services, is among those on the list.

Lakeview College of Nursing

DANVILLE – Rachel West of Lakewood, IL, graduated from Lakeview College of Nursing during the College’s fall commencement ceremony held in Danville, IL. West earned a bachelor of science in nursing degree through the College’s Charleston location. She is a 2014 graduate of Shelbyville High School and a 2018 graduate of Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL. She is the daughter of Scott and Tina West of Lakewood, IL.

Western Governors University

SALT LAKE CITY – Alison Hankins of Shelbyville has earned a Bachelor of Science, Nursing degree from Western Governors University (WGU). The online, nonprofit university has graduated over 167,000 students from across the country since its inception in 1997. WGU has recognized 5,617 undergraduate and 4,302 graduate degree recipients, who have completed their degrees since October 2, 2019.

South Dakota State University

Chloe Alexis Spain of Shelbyville has been named to the dean’s list for academic excellence after the fall 2019 semester at South Dakota State University’s school of nursing. To earn dean’s list distinctions in SDSU’s colleges, students must have completed a minimum of 12 credits and must have earned at least a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Students with an asterisk received a perfect 4.0 GPA.

Kentucky Wesleyan College

Owensboro, Ky. (Jan. 27, 2020) – Kentucky Wesleyan College announces the fall 2019 President’s List and Dean’s List. To be eligible for the President’s List for superior academic achievement, students must attain a 4.0 grade point average while carrying a minimum of 12 semester hours. To be eligible for the Dean’s List, students must attain a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale while carrying a minimum of 12 semester hours. On the President’s List is Brittney Wicker of Shelbyville.

McKendree University

LEBANON, IL – Turner Pullen, of Shelbyville, was named to the McKendree University Dean’s List for earning a grade point average of 3.60 or higher as a sophomore during the fall 2019 semester. McKendree University is a “College of Distinction” and recognized as a “Military Friendly School” by Victory Media. Founded in 1828, the historic Lebanon, Ill., campus is 25 miles from St. Louis, Mo. McKendree also has a campus in Radcliff, Ky., and offers programs online and at nearby Scott Air Force Base, Ill. Averee McNear, of Pana, was named to the McKendree University President’s List for achieving a perfect 4.0 grade point average as a junior during the fall 2019 semester.
