Strasburg’s Annual Halloween Celebration is slated for Friday, Oct. 25 at the Strasburg Community Center.

Trick or Treat for the Village of Strasburg will be Thursday, Oct. 31 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Sponsored by the Strasburg Liberty American Legion Post #289 and American Legion Auxiliary Unit #289, the Oct. 25 celebration includes a soup supper beginning at 5 PM, performance by the Stewardson-Strasburg band, masked parade, cake walk, 50/50 drawing and merchants drawing.

The fun begins at 5 p.m. with the Auxiliary’s soup supper. The auxiliary will be serving chili, chicken noodle soup, BBQ, hot dogs, polish sausage, chili dogs, homemade pie, soft drinks, tea, coffee and hot chocolate.

The masked parade kicks off at 7 pm.

Prizes will be awarded in the following categories: Under 3 years old; Storybook & Fairy Tales; TV & Movies; Clowns & Hobos; Monsters, Ghosts & Witches; Cowboys & Indians; Military; Animals; Miscellaneous; and Adults. Grand prize is $25.

Following the masked parade is the famous cake walk sponsored by the American Legion Post. Last year over 70 cakes were donated by ladies in the community for the cake walk.

At the conclusion of the cake walk the 50/50 drawing will be held along with the merchants drawing.
