The Schmitz family poses left next to Father Don Wolford of Immaculate Conception Church with their donated baby items.

Immaculate conception Church is currently accepting 'baby shower' items. Gifts and money normally given at a baby shower will be collected at the church and donated to the Crisis Pregnancy Center after weekend Masses on June 10 and 11.

The Schmitz family has already donated a play pen, blankets and wipes and other items are coming in as well. "The items do not have to be brand new, they can be used," said Immaculate Conception secretary Kathy Clark. We weren't able to hold our usual Annual Baby Shower this year, but now is a good time to donate what you have that a young child and mother might need."

People wanting to make donations can come by Immaculate Conception Church located on Rte 128 North, across from Boys Acres subdivision and just past Shelby Electric Cooperative. The Church is open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. For more info call 774-3434.
