HSHS Good Shepherd and our division corporate counsel, Patrick Langdon, are partnering with Dine with a Doc to present about advanced directives to the Shelbyville community on May 13 at 11 a.m. in the Shelby County Senior Center.
Patrick joined the HSHS family in 2018. He is a graduate of Southern Illinois University Carbondale, where he received his undergraduate degree in finance and subsequently his MBA and juris doctorate.
Dine with a Doc serves senior citizens in the community encouraging them to fellowship outside of their homes with friends; providing a balanced meal and health education to guests. Dine with a Doc runs their mission based on Jesus, the Great Physician. Their website quotes: (Mark 2:16, 17) There is only one physician who mastered every field with a 100 percent success ratio. He has never lost a patient, even though He was unaided by anesthesia, antiseptics, drugs, chemotherapy, and surgery.
Partnering with Dine with a Doc follows the HSHS mission which embodies the belief that every life is a sacred gift and every human being is a unity of body, mind and spirit. Dine with a Doc was formed by Senior Ministries, a faith-based organization in Terre Haute, Ind. HSHS Good Shepherd Hospital joined the Hospital Sisters Health System in January 2017. Providing quality health care to the Shelby County Community has been a tradition of the hospital for more than 100 years.
Please RSVP to the Shelby County Senior Center at 217-774-2251.
