SHELBYVILLE, IL – HSHS Good Shepherd Home Equipment, Home Health and New Vision colleagues are asking the community for their help collecting items for the local food pantry at the Methodist church.
At HSHS Good Shepherd Hospital, our colleagues carry the torch for our Hospital Sisters of St. Francis. Each month, a department is chosen to complete a “mission possible” that encompasses our mission and core values. Colleagues develop a task of their choosing that shows mission outreach to their peers and community.
The departments took on the Mission Possible task of highlighting the hospital’s mission to the community during the month of November.
Items requested include peanut butter, boxes of cereal and canned soup. All donations can be dropped off at the hospital’s registration desk between 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. the entire month of November.
“With the upcoming holidays, the food pantry will need additional items for those in need in the community,” said Tonya Peters, manager of home health. “Our departments thought this would be the best way we could help families have a happy holiday season.”
