Steven Kilcrease, 39, of Herrick, appeared in the custody of the Illinois Department of Corrections before Judge Michael Kiley and pled guilty to domestic battery with a prior conviction, a Class 4 felony.

Kilcrease was sentenced by agreement to three years in prison and ordered to pay various court costs, according to Shelby County State’s Attorney Allan Lolie who prosecuted the case.

Kilcrease, who was on parole at the time, was arrested in June by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office after he had punched a female family member in the face.

He was represented by Public Defender Bob Swiney.

Nathan Black, 33, of Windsor, also appeared before Judge Kiley Wednesday. He also pled guilty to domestic battery with a prior conviction, a Class 4 felony, according to Lolie.

He was sentenced by agreement to 18 months in prison and ordered to pay various court costs.

Black was arrested early Tuesday morning by the Windsor Police after he had thrown an unknown item at a female striking her in the leg.

Black represented himself.
