The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office recently reported on their activities over the first two weeks of November.
The Sheriff’s deputies delivered 38 civil papers of various kinds and were called to 23 reportable incidents. They were also varied in nature. The incidents ranged from traffic incidents to domestic violence, theft, Disorderly conduct and even a sexual assault.
On October 30, John C. Grimes, 54, and Jeffrey W Klee, 52, both of Pana were arrested for Burglary after deputies located individuals at a rural Tower Hill residence, which had previously been burglarized. They were transported to the Detention Center awaiting court appearances. Both individuals posted bond at a late date and were released.
On November 1 a traffic citation was given on Route 16 1/2 east of 2200E in Shelbyville.
There was a call to respond to a reported sexual assault in Tower Hill about 10 p.m. on November 3. The next day, November 4 there was a Disorderly Conduct call at a different address in Tower Hill at 12:12 p.m.
On Tuesday, November 5, there was a call for Entrapment on N 1800 East Rd in Shelbyville. An investigation is pending.
Also on November 5, deputies responded at 9:30 a.m. to a school notifying them of a threat made by a juvenile female. She was transported to the Detention Center on a charge of Disorderly Conduct. The incident was referred to the State Attorney.
At 2:00 on November 5 there was a call for a Violation of an Order of protection on Morgan Street in Shelbyville. The incident was referred to the State’s Attorney.
At 10:47 p.m. on November 5, deputies went to a vehicle rescue in Tower Hill. On November 6 in Tower Hill at 2:17 p.m., there was a report of a theft. At 3:36 p.m. there was a report of lost or stolen items in Mode. The third theft report that day was responded to at 4:55 p.m., again, in Tower Hill.
On Thursday, November 7 at 1:19 p.m., Billy R. Allred, 29, of Shelbyville was arrested for no valid Illinois license after a traffic stop at North Vine and 1st Streets. He was transported to the Detention Center for processing.
A report was made for a Fraud case in rural Neoga at 3:18 on Friday, November 8. Deputies responded to a non-criminal incident on County Highway 3 in Findlay at 11:17 a.m. on Saturday, November 9.
There was a report of criminal damage to a vehicle on Ohio Avenue in Windsor at 2:15 p.m. on Sunday November 10.
On Monday, November 11, Veteran’s Day the deputies had six incidents. Deputies were called out to North Rd in Oconee at 9:15 a.m. A citation for Underage Drinking was issued at 3300 N in Oconee and referred to the States Attorney.
At 11:15 a.m. a traffic citation was issued on Rt 16, .4 of a mile south of 1300 N in Tower Hill. There was a call to Rt 16 and Rt 128 in Shelbyville at 3:50 p.m. At 3:55 p.m. there was a traffic citation issued at Rt 16, .1 of a mile E of Rt 128 in Shelbyville. A traffic citation was issued at 6:23 p.m. in Herrick.
Tuesday, November 12 at 9:18 a.m. Andrew D. Hutchcraft, 20, of Ramsey was arrested for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor, illegal possession of alcohol by a minor, illegal transportation of alcohol and improper parking, after deputies were called to the intersection of 100E/300N in regards to a vehicle in the roadway. he was transported to the Detention Center for processing.
On Wednesday, November 13, at 3:57 p.m., there was a Domestic call on Washington Street in Sigel. At 4:38 p.m., there was a theft report made at North Rd in Strasburg.
