The American Legion flag detail will meet at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 25, at the entrance of the Blyman addition of Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville. Volunteers from the community are needed to assist them in putting flags on the graves of veterans.
Breakfast of sausage, biscuits and gravy will be served at 7 a.m. at the American Legion Post, North Morgan and North Second Streets, for those members and volunteers who will be placing the flags. Persons interested in helping, but not sharing at breakfast, should be at the Blyman entrance of Glenwood Cemetery at 8 a.m.
The flags will be left on the graves until Monday evening May 27 at 5 p.m. Volunteers to help pick up flags are needed. For more information on veterans graves call Bill Shoaff at 254-6953.
