On June 17, at 10:18 a.m. April M. Dagen, 8-26-87, of Herrick, lost control on rain slick roadway and went into the west ditch in her ‘05 Pontiac at 175N and 1500E. No injuries were reported. The Cowden First Responders asisted.

On June 19, at 6:30 a.m., Daniel W. Allen, 7-27-90, of Panama City, FL, reported that sometime overnight someone stole a Kawasaki KFZ 4 wheeler from a residence at Chestnut and Ravine Streets in Cowden.

On June 20 and June 21, Thomas J. File reported that on both dates someone entered a ‘96 International semi and a ‘99 Freightliner semi parked on Bissell Street in Tower Hill and took items from inside of these trucks. Damage was done to both trucks. A 16-year old male juvenile was questioned and information has been forwarded to the State’s Attorney’s office.

On June 20 at 11:40 p.m. Terra L. Kraus, 7-23-87, of Rosamond, IL, lost control of her 99 Chevrolet Monte Carlo in loose rock and skidded into a tree at 425N and 965E. No report of injuries.

On June 20 at 6:05 a.m. Courtney L. Furr, 4-9-54, of Shelbyville, reported that someone had broken the passenger side window from her ‘97 Pontiac and took her purse from inside. The incident happened on Bissell Street in Tower Hill.

On June 21 at 9:15 p.m.David D. Banning of Mode was westbound in a ‘96 Chevy pickup on 100N, 1/8 mile west of 2300E, and struck a deer.

On June 22 at 12:05 p.m. Betty J. Vaughn, 1-8-60, of Cowden, was going around a curve at 350N, 3/4 mile east of 1600E, and lost control on loose gravel and went into the north ditch and overturned in her ‘97 Chevrolet pickup.

One June 22 at 5:55 p.m., Elliot Broncho, 12-12-62, of Tower Hill, was southbound and struck a bridge at 1400E, 3/4 mile north of 2100N, and rolled over. He was transported to Shelby Memorial Hospital by Findlay Ambulance. He was arrested for DUI and driving on a revoked license.

On June 22 at 7:35 p.m., Terry L. McKinney, 5-1-85, of Cowden, was stuck in a mud road that was marked for dry weather use only at 700N, 1/4 mile west of Rt 128. He was arrested for damage to roadways and driving on a suspended license.

One June 23 at 6:30 p.m., Lyle A. Bricker, 1-30-69, of Shelbyville, was westbound in a ‘97 GMC pickup and was blinded by the sun. He struck Michael R. Holland, 10-27-62, of Shelbyville, who was parked alongside the road in an ‘02 Ford pickup at 1150N, 1/2 mile west of 2200E, and then struck Shane D. Fox, 10-19-71, Shelbyville, who was parked on the other side of the road on an ‘06 Yanaha ATV. No injuries were reported.
