CHBC junior high baseball (1-0) hosted South Central to opemn the season at Beecher City on Monday. They beat their opponents and the rain, 4-0.

The CHBC Bobcats got the upper hand in the 3rd inning, when the they broke through for a single run. They got 3 more runs on the board in the bottom of the 5th, before the game ended at the end of 5 innings.

Jaxon Manley went all 5 innings for CHBC and Wyatt Rueff was his catcher. Manley notched the shutout, allowing just 2 hits and 2 walks. CHBC drew 6 walks and stroked 6 hits, driving in 3 of the 4 runs.

Six different Bobcats hit safely. Manley, Rueff, and Layne Jones were 1-for-2 with a walk, and a run, each. Rueff had an RBI. Carson Evans was 1-for-3 with a run, while Rylee Fishers was 1-for-3, driving in 2 runs.
