Shelbyville Moulton cross country had hard luck at the Shelbyville Sectional on Saturday. Three teams got to State. Both the Ram boys and ram girls finished 4th. But Luke Brewer and Caroline White advanced to State as individuals.

Shelbyville boys (107 pts) finished behind Tolono (42 pts), Monticello (57 pts) and Robinson Nuttal (79 pts). Sullivan was 13th (308 pts).

The Ram boys were led by Brewer in 6th place (11:58.34), followed by Sullivan’s Johnathan Iacobazzi (11:59.72). Kelton Logan was 20th (12:24.84), Tucker Kull was 23rd (12:32.45), Zayne Hankins 25th (12:39.06), and Grady Ogden in 33rd (12:56.82) capped the Ram scoring.

The 6th man was Warren Weekly in 37th (13:05.04), Will Nohren was 542nd rounding out the Ram entrants (13:21.66).

White led the Ram girls in 12th. Anna Tynan was the 2nd Ram in 21st (13:40.33), followed by Tessa Bowers in 24th (13:48.18), and Katie Nohren in 27th (13:51.58), the 5th scorer was Jordynn Mayhall in 40th (14:33.07) with the Ram 6th man in her back pocket. Ellie Osborn was 41st (14:36.15). Liz Reed was the 7th Ram varsity runner in 51st (14:37.55).
