Windsor/Stew-Stras moved up Senior Night to Monday night due to the weather forecast for Tuesday. Despite the extra celebration and Nokomis arriving late, the Hatchets were not thrown off their game. They came out swinging and beat Nokomis by 10 runs in 6 innings on a walk-off double, 10-0.
Calla Roney was in the circle and threw a 3-hit shutout over 6 innings with two walks and 13 strikeouts. She threw 1st pitch strikes to 18 of her 23 batters. She threw 90 pitches, 59 strikes (66%). Meanwhile the Hatchets earned all 10 of their runs on 16 hits, including 7 doubles. Only one Hatchet struck out and one walked. Three reached on errors.

Trina davis was 1-for-3 with a double, a run, and an RBI.
Roney KO'd the first batters she faced. She gave up a single and a sac bunt moved the runner, but Roney rang up the next batter to end it. What happened next was just not fair.
Windsor scored two runs on two consecutive bunts. Carson Cole led off bunting for a base hit. She stole 2nd. Hayes bunted and the ball rolled into between the 1st baseman and the pitcher. Hayes was safe at 1st as Cole raced around 3rd and home, 1-0. Hayes stole 2nd. On the throw to 2nd, the ball got away and Hayes went to 3rd and on home, 2-0.
Schlechte, the 3rd batter, was still in the batter's box for the rest of her at bat. Schlechte doubled. She went to 3rd on a ground out. After a K, Bean doubled Schlechte home, 3-0. Roney rang up the next two batters. Davis made a 3-unassisted play at 1st.
The Hatchets came to the plate in the 2nd, still with a sharp blade. Pfeieffer led off with a single. Natalie Hayes came in to run and stole 2nd. Davis doubled and Hayes scored. Cole traded places with Davis at 2nd with her own double, 5-0. Cole had a delayed steal to 3rd. Hannah Hayes hit a fly to left and Ciole tagged and scored.
With one out, Schlechte walked and stole 2nd. Tabbert singled to left. Anna Schlechte came in to run. The Schlechte sisters were on 1st and 3rd and the other one, Becca, was home from college watching in the stands. Anna stole 2nd and a play was made on Megan at 3rd. The ball went wide and Megan raced home, as Anna went to 3rd. Roney hit a sac fly to right and Anna tagged and score from 3rd, 8-0. Bean doubled again, but was left on.
Nokomis got a 2-out single in the 3rd and a walk. Roney rang up the next batter to end it. If not for a double play WSS would have scored in the 3rd. Pfeiffer singled again, but apop out to the 1st baseman caught the pinch runner off. Cole then doubled, but was left on. Roney rang up 3 in the 4th and walked one. Megan Schlechte singled in the WSS 4th, but three straight outs left her on.
A lead-off single amounted to nothing in the Nokomis 5th. Roney threw a K and a sacrifice bunt got the runner to 2nd with two outs. Roney threw another K. Two runs away from an early dismissal and WSS hit the ball right to the Redskins. Roney rang up two more in the Nokomis 6th and the other popped out to the circle.
Time was running out for Nokomis and, sure enough, the game was raptured in the bottom of the 6th. With one out, Reynolds singled to right. Megan Schlechte singled. Tabbert forced out Reynolds at 3rd, but with two on a two dead, Roney singled. Schlechte scored and Tabbert went to 2nd, 9-0. Bean smacked her 3rd double of the game in a walk-off, driving Tabbert home for the win, 10-0.
