The Windsor/Stew-Stras Hatchet girls ripped Ramsey on Monday night by 47 points, led by senior Nikki Trussell, who scored a career-high 29 points in the win, 86-39. 

The game was over in the first 8:00. The Hatchets put on a 31-2 run. It didn't matter that Ramsey brought in the artillery in the 2nd quarter and outscored the Hatchets, 19-15. They were only able to trim the 29-point deficit, down to 25 at the break, 46-21.

WSS answered Ramsey's best quarter, by hurling a 26-8 at the Rams in the 3rd. They led by 43 points heading into the final frame, 72-29. With a running clock, WSS eased up and still won the 4th, 14-10.

Trussell was unstoppable. She scored a dozen times from the floor (50%) and got to the line 4 times, making 5-of-8 shots. She also grabbed 6 boards.

Sophomore forward Mikala Nichols also had a big game. Nichols scored 20 points on 10 of 18 shooting from the floor (56%). She led the team with 11 rebounds for a double-double.

Megan Schlechte didn't have to carry the team, scoring, in this game. She scored 11 points (36%), including 3-of-4 at the line, and had a good floor game. She grabbed 7 boards, dished a career-high 7 assists and stole 3 balls. 

Senior Katrina Davis also grabbed 7 boards and dished 7 assists with 3 steals. She had 4 points. Senior Jocelyn Schultz had her best game, scoring 6 points with 6 boards. Freshman guard Chloe Dasenbrock led the Hatchets with 4 steals. 

WSS grabbed a season-high 41 rebounds, dished 22 assists and had 15 steals and committed just 7 turnovers. The assist to turnover ratio was 3:1 and the assists/steal to turnover ratio was 5:1.
