Windsor/Stew-Stras volleyball took on Cumberland on Thursday and notched their 3rd straight victory this season. Te hatchets sliced past the Pirates, 25-20, 25-18.

The Htchets got past the Pirates in game 1 by 5 points and then established their superiority in game 2 with a 7-point win. WSS swung for 32 kills, recorded on solo block and served up 5 aces for 38 attack points out of 50 (76%).

The two setters combined for 23 of the 29 assists as WSS got 90% of their kill out of the offense. They scooped 42 digs to get the win.

The attack was a combined effort with Mackinzee Reynolds, Karlie Bean, and Claire Moomaw leading the way. Reynolds smacked 9 kills and served an ace for 10 attack points. Bean hit 7 kills and Moomaw had 6 kills and the only block, both contributing 7 attack points.

Brianna Hewing had 4 attack points with two kills and 2 aces. She had 2 aces in 10 serves. Jessica Rauch also had 2 aces.

Setters Hannah Hayes and Lexi Domzalski dished 13 and 10 assists respectively. Domzalski handled 30 balls with no errors. Hayes handled 21 with 2 errors. Hayes added 4 kills and Domzalski one.

Libero Anna Schlechte scooped a team-high 14 digs with no errors, while Reynolds got low for 11 digs wit just one error, as the only double-double performer. Schlechte also had a team-high 11 serve receives with 3 errors. Reynolds had 5 with no errors. The Defense was top-notch scooping 42 digs with only one error.

WSS (3-0, 1-0 NTC) plays on Thursday, hosting Altamont.
