Shelbyville all-conference standouts Derek Hayden and Jason Sullivan helped lead their summer baseball team to the National Amateur Baseball Federation (NABF) Senior World Series.

The 18U Evansville Razorbacks qualified for the NABF Senior Baseball World Series in Jackson, Mississippi by capturing the NABF Mid-West Regional Championship in Evansville, IN on July 21-23rd.

The Razorbacks won the championship with wins over American National West, MO (7-1), Topeka, KS (4-1), Bloomington, IL (5-2), and Indiana Yankees (4-3).

Hayden has an 1.42 ERA while striking out 20 on the mound, while Sullivan has a 2.69 ERA while striking out 26 on the mound. The Razorback team consists of 19 players from throughout the Tri-State area and beyond. The Razorbacks have also captured the 16-Team Razorback Showcase, and 32-Team Fun in the Sun Showcase tournament championships this summer.

All eleven of the graduating players have received scholarships to play baseball at the collegiate level.

The NABF Senior Division World Series begins Thursday, August 3 in Jackson, Mississippi.

The National Amateur Baseball Federation (established in 1914) is the longest continuously running amateur organization in the nation.
