Ram JV baseball fell behind visiting Meridian last week, but just temporarily, as they came right back and went on to win 4-1.

Ty Lane went the distance for Shelbyville, giving up a run on back-to-back hits in the second with no outs. He got out of the inning by striking out the next three batters. He then shut out the Hawks the rest of the way, throwing nine more strikeouts. He only walked one batter and he mowed down 15 total.

After falling behind 1-0 in the top of the second, the Rams came right back and scored three runs to reclaim the lead for good. Zach Lane drew a lead-off walk, Drew Bosgraaf worked a walk and with one out Erin Nichols singled to load the bases. Ty Lane then gave himself enough runs for the win, by knocking a 2-run double, 3-1 Rams.

Jay Nottingham doubled in the fifth, but was left on base. The final Ram run came when Matt Karol singled in the sixth with one out, Kolton Smith walked with two outs and Connor McNeely-Short reached on an error, driving in Karol.
