The Shelbyville Moulton volleyball teams stayed perfect on Thursday. The Ram 7th survived Argenta, 22-25, 25-19, 25-21. Shelby 8th blew out the Bombers, 25-7, 25-14.

Shelby got caught off guard early and then had to fight back for the 3-set win. It was the first time they had gone 3 sets this season.

"I'm hoping the girls learned a lot from this match," said Ram 7th coach Maggie Bosgraaf. "We did not play our best game and definitely have some things to work on. I'm looking forward to seeing how well we can play when we get all of the pieces worked out and put together."

The Rams had a trio of net assassins. Kinzee Musser, Caroline White, and Amber Lewis had 4 kills each. Four more registered kills. Musser and Lewis also led at the line, serving 14 points, each and 3 aces, each.

Ella Storm had a team-high 15 points with 2 aces. Musser dished a team-high 6 assists and scooped a team-high 7 digs.

As a team the Rams had 10 aces and 18 kills for 28 attack points out of 72. They had 10 assists towards 18 kills.

Shelby 7th (5-0, 2-0 Okaw) plays at Okaw Valley on Tuesday.

The Ram 8th grade cruised past the Bombers. They scored 16 aces and 6 kills with one block for 23 attack points out of 50 (46%). They had just 3 assists and 7 digs.

"There wasn't a ton of game play this match," said Ram 8th coach Lisa Peifer. "We were pretty good at the service line and kept them on defense most of the night. The girls let up a bit to start the second set, but soon got back in control and took the match. Our service receive was pretty solid, which was nice to see and we didn't have attack errors, so that was an improvement.  It was a good win."
Carli Canada had a team-high 2 kills, while Mallory Holland had a kill and a block. Canada also had 3 aces to give her 5 attack points. Gracee Tucker had a team-high 15 points with 6 aces for 6 attack points. Mia Wade served 11 points with 4 aces and sung for a kill. She had 5 attack points. Tucker had a team-high 2 assists and 3 digs.
