The National Trail Conference announced its all-conference selections, recently, including three players from the Shelby Area.

Senior Jaelyn Robertson of Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City was named to the 1st Team All-Conference. Junior Mikala Nichols of Windsor/Stew-Stras was named to the top of the 2nd Team All-Conference. Junior Hannah Hayes of Windsor/Stew-Stras was named Honorable Mention.

CHBC was 21-9 (4-4 NTC) finishing behind Altamont (27-7, 8-0 NTC) and Brownstown (23-9, 7-1 NTC) in the conference. Altamont had five picks and Brownstown had just two.

Neoga, which finished 16-16 (5-3 NTC) had three picks. North Clay (12-18, 3-5 NTC) had two picks. Windsor/Stew-Stras (16-13, 2-6 NTC) got two picks.

CHBC got just one pick and Brownstown just two. CHBC junior Carsen Burks scored 248 points and was integral in the CHBC 20-win season. Senior Lauren Wojcik scored 239 points and led CHBC the last 3 seasons in rebounding. Neither received an honorable mention.

Mikala Nichols of WSS did not make the 1st Team. She scored 443 points, three less than the #4 1st Team pick out of 6. She had 374 rebounds, 200 more than the #4 1st Team pick out of 6. Hannah Hayes, who scored 387 points, made Honorable Mention.

Jaelyn Robertson, who finished her career with 1500 points, led CHBC this season with 446 points (14.9 ppg). She finished with 430 rebounds, 162 this year. She finished with 304 steals, 78 this year. She had 102 career 3-pointers and 205 assists, 79 this year.

Robertson shot 46% from the field this year, 53% from 2-point range, and 65% from the foul line. She shot the most free throws (82/129). She had 157 assists/steals this season to 118 turnovers (+39).

Nichols was a double-double machine. She averaged 15.3 points per game and 12.9 rebounds per game. She also had 2.7 steals per game and 2.2 blocks per game. She scored 443 points and shot 53% from the field. She had 23 assist/77 steals (100) and just 64 turnovers (+36).

Hayes scored 387 points with 122 rebounds and 85 steals. She had 133 assists/steals to 108 turnovers (+25). She shot 78-of-96 at the free throw line (81%).
