The volley valley girls from Bethany bested the girls from Sangamon Valley on Tuesday, in a pendulum swing match, 25-7, 22-25, 25-11.

After Okaw Valley quelled the Storm in the first set by 18 points, 25-7, whatever. They let Sangamon Valley take the second set by 3 points, 25-22, nevermind. The Timberwolves trampled on the Storm once again, by 14 points, in the 3rd set.

Okaw Valley girls out-scored the Sangamon Valley girls by 29 points, 72 to 43. Okaw hit 25 kills, recorded 10 blocks, ouch. They served 4 aces. Okaw had 39 attack points out of 72 (54%).

It was an Okaw Valley block party. Over 25% of their attack points were blocks. Kate Jeffers stuffed 7 shots and hit 8 kills of her own. She served an ace to give her 16 attack points.

Avery Bruns had 2 blocks and 7 kills for 9 attack points. Coleman had a block and 7 kills for 8 attack points.

Grace Bunfill dished all 22 assists towards 25 kills (88%). Coleman led the court defense with 10 digs. Macie Fleshner had 7 and April Decesaro 6. Decesaro served a team-high 2 aces.

Okaw Valley (19-9) travels to Cumberland on Thursday.
