Okaw Valley volleyball (17-7) is crushing it this season and they crushed two more wins on Monday at the LPC Tourney. They crushed Arcola 25-12, 25-9, then crushed Argenta, 25-15, 25-15. They won again on Tuesday night, beating LSA 25-15, 25-21.

Okaw outscored their first two opponents by almost double, 100 to 51. Okaw racked up 73 attack points in two, too-quick, 2-set matches, 73% of their scoring on the attack.

Grace Bunfill dished all 35 assists towards their 47 kills (74%). Twelve of their kills were free ball or 1-timers (26%). Kate Jeffers had 11 kills against Arcola and 16 on the night. Paige Coleman hit 11 kills total.

They served 13 aces. They rose for 12 blocks and scooped 49 digs, denying their opponents any momentum. April Decsaro led the balanced effort with 13 digs.

Against Arcola, Okaw won by 13, then by 16 in the too-quick set. They recorded 33 attack points (66%) on 5 aces, 3 blocks and 25 kills. Six T’Wolves had kills.

Jeffers was brutal with 11 kills, a block, and an ace for 13 attack points. Coleman had 5 kills, 2 aces and a block for 8 attack points.

Bunfill dished all 18 assists towards the the 25 kills. Eight T’Wolves scored digs. Decesaro led with 7, while Paige Coleman had 6.

Against Argenta, Okaw won by double-digits, ditto. They had 8 aces, 9 blocks and 22 kills for 39 attack points (68%). Six T’Wolves had kills, 4 had aces.

Coleman had 3 aces, 2 blocks and a team-high 6 kills for 11 attack points. Avery Bruns had a team-high 6 kills, as well, and a team-high 4 blocks for 10 attack points. Jeffers had 5 kills, 3 aces and a block for 9 attack points.

Bunfill dished 17 assists towards the 22 kills (77%). Decesaro and Coleman led the court defense with 5 digs each.

On Tuesday, the Timberwolves bested the Lions, 25-15, 25-21.

LSA tried, but couldn’t make a comeback after a 10-point loss in the 1st set. Okaw defended against the comeback with 35 digs and seven blocks for points.

The T’Wolves smacked 21 kills, served up 6 aces to go with 7 blocks for 34 attack points out of 50 (68%).

Kate Jeffers led at the net with 9 kills and 3 blocks for 12 attack points. Paige Coleman had 4 kills, a team-high 3 aces, and 2 blocks for 9 attack points.

Coleman also led the court defense with 8 digs. April Decesaro and Karson Park followed with 7 digs, each.

Grace Bunfill dished 18 of the 19 assists towards the 21 kills, getting 90% out of the set offense.

Okaw Valley (18-7) was to return to the LPC Tourney on Thursday night.
