Okaw Valley volleyball ran their record to 22-9 on Tuesday night as the Turned Framer City blue, 25-17, 25-19.

The Timberwolves buried Blue Ridge, 50 to 36, in straight sets, with consecutive 8-point and a 6-point set victories.

Okaw Valley swung for 26 kills and delivered 8 aces for 34 attack points out of 50 (68%). Kate Jeffers and Paige Coleman led the net attack with 9 and 8 kills, respectively. Jeffers also led from the line with 3 aces for 12 attack points.

Grace Bunfill dished all 25 assists towards 26 kills, getting 96% of their kills from the offensive set. Bunfill also had a kill and 2 aces.

Libero April Decesaro along with her teammates, asserted herself in court defense, scooping 12 of the 46 digs.

The win started with Okaw defense. Their defense held off the Knights with digs, passed into the set offense, and delivered all but one of their kills. With no blocks the pressure was even more on the defense and they came through.

As the season has gone on more teammates have responded to help Decesaro to defend the floor. Paige Coleman and Karson Park followed with 8 digs, each. Bunfill and Macie Fleshner had 7 digs each.

Okaw Valley (22-9) hosts Argenta on Thursday for Senior Night, then is the top seed in the Kansas Regional next week.
