It took three games, but Pana 7th grade volleyball (3-4) beat Nokomis, 13-21, 21-14, 21-13, on Monday, prior to a two-game win by the Panther 8th, 21-14, 21-11.

Taylor Beyers led the way for the Panther 7th with a team-high nine points at the service line and a team-high five aces. She also was the teamed with Allison Allen as the double-net threat, as both had four kills each.

Pana 7th stats: Beyers 9 points, 5 aces, 4 kills; Etter 7 points, 3 aces, 1 kill, 5 assists; Suter 7 points, 2 aces, 1 kill; Kelsey West 5 points, 3 assists; Allen 4 kills; Hannah Cushing 1 kill; Chrissy DeClerck 2 points; Ashley Funneman 1 point; Emily McLeod 2 points.

In the upperclassman contest, the Panthers (6-1) had little trouble devouring the Braves.

Pana 7th and 8th played Tuesday night at Litchfield, host Vandalia tonight and a 7th tourney on Saturday.
