On Friday, Shelbyville Moulton girls basketball won and lost . The Ram 7th lost to Monticello, 27-12. Ram 8th won, 32-9.

The 7th grade game was close for the first half. Monty took a 2-point lead in the 1st, 7-5, and was up 4 at the break, 15-11. From there it was all Sages with a 4-0 run in the 3rd and an 8-1 run in the 4th.

The upperclassmen Rams wasted little time putting the Sages on their heels. They posted a 12-1 ruin in the first 6:00.

Gabby Golding scored twice. Kinzee Musser scored twice. Caroline White scored once and Dru Clark scored once. The 2nd frame was slower. Shelby had a 4-1 run. Golding scored all four points on a basket and 2-of-4 foul shooting. Shelby was up by 14 points at the half, 16-2.

The Rams shutout Monty in the 3rd, 12-zip. Golding scored three times and Musser twice. White scored for the 28-2 lead. In the 4th quarter, Shelby cooled things and Monty actually won the quarter to no affect. Kenzie Jones made two free throws and Jordynn Mayhall made a bucket.

Gabby Golding led all scorers with 14 points on 6 baskets and 2-of-8 free throws. Kinzee Musser followed with 8 points on 4 baskets.

Shelbyville 7th and 8th host Arthur on Tuesday.
