SHS Wrestling picked up another team win, this time against Mt. Olive 58-18. The Rams wrangled seven pins from 14 wrestlers and also took one by decision and one by forfeit.

Pins-Nate Bly wrestling in the 119 lb. class, pinned Brown in 1:30; Brad Holmes pinned Obemeufemann in 2:43; Jory Nees got his pin on Subick in 1:06, Jarred Agney did the job on Wentler in 1:04, Travis Wheat pinned Wachter in 1:41, Chris Erwin pinned Dowellin 1:22 and Cortland Helton picked up his pin in 1:07 against Giles.

Caleb Duckett (103) and Luke Dunaway (152) won by forfeit and Cody Logue (112) won by major decision 11-0 over Yancick.

Randy Gaffner (160) lost by 7-6 decision to Rosenthal; J.D. Cloe (171) lost also by close decision, 6-5, to Bartok; John McSchooler lost by pin to Gasaway in 3:25

In exhibition wrestling, Chris Jones was pinned by Zoko (Taylorville) in 5:14 and Zoko also won by decision of 4-2 in OT over Ryan Brown.

Rams wrestling head coach Andy Kerley said, “Our season record is now 8-7. This gives us a winning record this late into the season for the first time in recent history. We look to continue our winning ways next Tuesday as we wrestle Gibson City at home at 6:00 p.m. It will be senior night so come out and cheer our team to the next victory.”
