After a lot of time off, the Windsor Blue Devils, the Class 1A #7 ranked team in the state, traveled to St. Elmo and took care of business, winning 77-51.

After their only loss of the season, two weeks ago to Class 2A #1-ranked Teutopolis, the Devils were off a week and were to play Cowden-Herrick. That game was snowed out and they had to wait another week to play St. Elmo. Despite the two week lay-off, the Devils were still too much for the home Eagles.

The voracious Devils pounced on the Eagles like fresh meat with a 21-12 run to start the game. The 2nd frame was about the same as the Devils had a 17-12 run and led by 14 points at the break, 38-24. The Eagles hoped to regroup in the locker room and mount a comeback. The only problem was that the Devils were also refueling.

Windsor walloped St. Elmo with an 18-6 run and was up 26 points heading into the 4th and rendering it superfluous. Even though the Eagles soared for 21 points in the final 8:00, finally blowing out their pipes, the devils held serve with their own 21-point finale and still notched the 26-point win.

The Windsor three-headed hydra has a different player step forward to lead in scoring each game. In this game, Kyle Floyd was the one who stepped to the fore, scoring a game-high 24 points, including one trey and get to the line and making 7-of-9 foul shots.

Three other Devils scored in double figures. Bryn Price followed with 18 points, and Ryne Floyd (3-of-4 at the line) and Zach Weber had 11 points each. Andy

St. Elmo had just two players in double figures. Sperry led the team with 16 points and Mansker followed with 14.

Windsor (15-1, 4-1 NTC) travels to Neoga on Friday, then will compete in the NTC tourney next week.
