Burgess gave up three hits, one walk and one error. Brittany Wakefield was the losing pitcher for Beecher City.

Head coach, Rick Allen commented, "We played well for the most part in game one. We made the most of our opportunities and put the win away. We started with a lead off walk to get our inning started. With two outs against us, Trimble hit a single and then Weber nailed a double to drive in two runs. King came to bat with an RBI base hit. We played good defense and made it work."
